West Palm Beach is set to welcome a beloved Greek dining establishment, expanding beyond its New York roots. Kyma, crafted by co-founder Merkourios “Mike” Angeliades, is gearing up to introduce two dining experiences within the Banyan & Olive complex, located at 300 Banyan Boulevard and 111 S. Olive Avenue. The venture includes an expansive 8,000-square-foot restaurant on the ground level of both 111 Olive and 300 Banyan, complete with al fresco dining options. Additionally, a 6,000-square-foot Kyma Rooftop restaurant atop 300 Banyan.
These culinary additions, slated for a 2025 opening, are part of a broader initiative by Brand Atlantic Real Estate Partners, the developers behind Banyan & Olive. According to a representative, Kyma will enlist its own design team to tailor its spaces meticulously.
Andrew Dance, a managing partner at Brand Atlantic, highlighted the significance of Kyma’s arrival, underscoring its potential to elevate the Clematis Waterfront’s dining scene and enrich the local community and its visitors.
The project is a collaboration between Brand Atlantic and Connecticut’s Wheelock Street Capital, with the construction of 300 Banyan commencing in June 2022 and bolstered by an $87 million loan from Acore Capital Management.
This development is notable for its blend of modern amenities and its strategic incorporation of office and retail space, including the repurposed 1930s building at 111 Olive and the multifaceted 300 Banyan, which will host Kyma’s latest ventures. This move aligns with West Palm Beach’s growing appeal to financial firms and other entities seeking a vibrant office and retail environment, further evidenced by the recent commitments from Dycom Industries and Pubbelly Sushi to the area.
